This week year 1 have been designing and making rockets out of pop bottles. We hope to fly them all next week and measure how far they travel. Hopefully more news on our rockets to follow…..

Year One had a fabulous time at the cinema watching ‘The Smurfs: The Lost Village’. The children were all on their best behaviour.
Mrs Cowie’s retirement
Year One would like to say a special thank you and goodbye and wish Mrs Cowie a happy retirement. We all put on our best Marigolds, aprons and voices when we sang a clean up song.
We have started our first week back working hard and being busy!
We have celebrated Halloween, completing lots of pumpkin activities, learned all about Bonfire Night and how Guy Fawkes was involved, as well as starting our new class text – The Gruffalo.
Homework handed in last term was fantastic and a special thanks to all the adults who helped.
